Terms
Terms for
Mergonomy Voice.
These terms govern your use of the Mergonomy Voice desktop app, website, and any related
service that links to them.
Last updated: September 12, 2026
Software reliability
Features may change and the app may contain defects. Keep backups of important
work.
Use it responsibly
You must have permission to record meetings and must follow applicable laws and
workplace rules.
Your content stays yours
You retain your rights in transcripts, notes, meeting data, subtitles, and files
you process with Mergonomy Voice.
Local processing
The current release processes Mergonomy Voice content on your device.
Important: Do not rely on Mergonomy Voice as the
only copy of important information or for
emergency, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or compliance-critical work.
1. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Mergonomy Voice, you agree to these terms
and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use
the app or related services.
If you use Mergonomy Voice for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to
accept these terms for that organization.
2. The product
Mergonomy Voice provides tools for on-device speech transcription, dictation, voice notes,
meeting capture, media transcription, subtitles, transcript cleanup, and export.
Availability depends on your device, operating system, permissions, downloaded
models, and enabled features.
Mergonomy may improve, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. Where practical,
material changes will be described on the product website or in release
information.
3. Permission to use Mergonomy Voice
Mergonomy gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and
use the distributed Mergonomy Voice application for lawful personal or internal business
purposes, subject to these terms and any separate license supplied with the
software.
You may not misuse the service, interfere with its security or operation, use it
to violate another person's rights, or attempt to access accounts, systems, or data
without authorization.
4. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of transcripts, notes, subtitle files, meeting data, custom
words, and other content you provide or create.
The current release processes Mergonomy Voice content locally. Mergonomy does not receive or
store your voice, transcripts, notes, meetings, or imported media through these
local features.
You are responsible for your content, for having the right to process it, and for
keeping appropriate backups and exported copies.
5. Recording and transcription
You must comply with all laws, contracts, workplace policies, and platform rules
that apply to recording or transcribing audio. You are responsible for notifying
participants and obtaining any required consent before using Mergonomy Voice in a meeting
or conversation.
Transcription can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review generated text before
relying on it, sharing it, or using it to make a decision.
6. Models and third-party software
On-device models are downloaded from third-party hosting services. Downloading a
model retrieves the model file; it does not send your Mergonomy Voice content with
that download.
- Whisper Base and Whisper Large v3 Turbo: OpenAI Whisper model
weights, distributed under the MIT License.
- Qwen3 0.6B and Qwen3 1.7B: Qwen model weights, distributed under
the Apache License 2.0.
- Speaker segmentation: pyannote Segmentation 3.0, distributed
under the MIT License.
- Speaker embedding: 3D-Speaker CAM++, distributed under the
Apache License 2.0.
The app's THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt identifies the exact downloaded files,
sources, cryptographic hashes, attributions, and applicable license terms. Third-party
components remain subject to their own licenses; those licenses do not grant rights in
Mergonomy Voice itself.
7. Telemetry
After onboarding, Mergonomy Voice enables the limited pseudonymous product analytics
described in the Privacy Notice. You can
disable analytics at any time in
Settings → About → Usage analytics.
Analytics contains only allowlisted feature-use events, day-wise Speak to Type
counts, and a randomly generated pseudonymous app identifier. It excludes user
content and crash reports. PostHog Cloud processes the events on Mergonomy's behalf.
Mergonomy uses them only to understand product usage and improve M Voice—not for
marketing, advertising, personalization, cross-service tracking, or the sale of
data.
8. Updates and software changes
Mergonomy Voice may contain bugs, lose compatibility, produce
incorrect output, or stop working. Updates may be required to continue using some
features.
You should keep independent backups of important notes, transcripts, meetings,
settings, and exports. Mergonomy is not a backup service for locally stored data.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mergonomy Voice and related services are provided
“as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy,
reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or
error-free operation.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be
excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mergonomy will not be liable for indirect,
incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data,
profits, business, opportunity, or goodwill arising from use of Mergonomy Voice or a
third-party model or service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
11. Ending use
You may stop using Mergonomy Voice at any time. Uninstalling the app preserves Mergonomy
Voice-owned local data unless you run Factory reset first. See the
uninstall section of the Privacy Notice for
exact removal behavior.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as Mergonomy Voice changes, including if M Cloud is introduced.
The updated date at the top identifies the current version. If a change is
material, notice may also be provided on the product website or in the app.
13. Contact
Use the contact form
for privacy or legal questions. To share product feedback or get support, use the
feedback form.
